How does working with a remote freelance bookkeeper work? 

Working with a virtual bookkeeper is a seamless, tech-forward process designed to save you time. Here is how we collaborate at Clarion Bookkeeping:

• Cloud-Based Access: We use QuickBooks Online as our central hub. You provide us with accountant-level access so we can manage your books securely from our office.

• Digital Document Sharing: Instead of handing over paper receipts, you can upload documents via our secure Client Portal.

• Automated Data Feeds: We connect your bank, credit card, and third-party apps directly to your Quickbooks Online account, ensuring real-time accuracy without the need for manual data entry.

• Regular Communication: We stay in touch through our Client Portal, email, phone, and video calls to review your monthly statements and answer any questions.

It’s just like having an in-house bookkeeper, but without the overhead of physical office space!

How will you access my books? 

So that I can work on your bookkeeping remotely, you will need to use Quickbooks Online for your business's bookkeeping. 

What if I'm not using Quickbooks Online? 

I only work with clients in Quickbooks Online. If you are a new business or willing to move your bookkeeping to Quickbooks Online, I can help you get set up or move over to one of these online accounting software platforms. 

How will I share documents like receipts, bills, or bank statements with you? 

You can share documents with me directly in Quickbooks Online, by email, and through our secure Client Portal. 

How will we communicate? 

We will communicate via email (amanda@clarionbookkeeping.com), phone, or video conferencing, and through our secure Client Portal.

How often will I receive financial reports? 

I will send you monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports as needed. We can discuss these reports by phone or video conferencing. 

Is my financial information safe with you? 

Yes, your financial information is safe with me. I use bank-level security measures and adhere to strict confidentiality policies to ensure the privacy and security of your data. 

How much do you charge for your services? 

My fees vary depending on the scope and complexity of the services required. I offer transparent and competitive pricing and will provide you with a clear and detailed proposal before beginning any work. 

Can you help me with my tax filings? 

I will keep your books accurate and up-to-date so you can deliver the required financial reports to your CPA, who will prepare your taxes.
